Spewak Racing’s Inaugural Chain of Rocks 6k to benefit the St. Louis Charter Athletics League
St. Louis, MO – On Sunday March 27th, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. at the Chain of Rocks Bridge, the 1st annual Chain of Rocks 6k, to benefit the St. Louis Charter Athletics League will take place. This unique distance event is open to runners participating as an individual or with a local club. Teams from Big River Running, Running Niche, RunWell, Toolen’s Running Start, Fleet Feet, Spewak Racing, & others are attending. Participants will have the opportunity to race on the historic Chain of Rocks Bridge which will also highlight the Great Rivers Greenway trail system.
The proceeds of the event will benefit the St. Louis Charter Athletics League. Spewak Racing as an organization has pledged to fund the St. Louis Charter Athletics League’s cross country season in the fall of 2022. In 2021, Spewak Racing purchased running shoes for athletes of the Lafayette Preparatory cross country team who are a part of the league. This partnership will allow running to become more accessible in the St. Louis area.
The cross country league has many needs for their athletes including apparel, uniforms, coaches, shoes, and other essentials. Spewak Racing will use the Chain of Rocks 6k as an opportunity to not only fund the cross country league in the fall but to also build awareness in the St. Louis community for all of the efforts of the St. Louis Charter Athletics League.

The St. Louis Charter Athletics League (CAL) seeks to enrich the lives of student athletes by providing safe, accessible and diversified programs in an effective, efficient, equitable, and responsive manner.
CAL is currently coordinated and funded through Lafayette Preparatory Academy. CAL seeks to become an independent 501(c)(3) by Q3 of 2022.
