About the Event

Join us on Sunday, October 8th at St. Vincent's Park for a cross country meet put on by Spewak Racing. We are encouraging teams and clubs in our community to sign up as a team! Email mark@spewakracing.com if your team is interested in competing. This event does not have live results. Not having official timing allows us to reduce costs to ensure we are able to donate as much as we can to our selected beneficiary. We will have a timing clock at the finish line so runners can see their finish time.

Who is this for? You don't have to be on a team to compete in this meet. This event is open to all members of our community! Cross Country is a sport very near and dear to our hearts that we want to share with the community.

What is cross country? Cross Country is a form of a running race that is run on grass. Meets are typically held on soccer fields, golf courses, etc. The appeal to cross country is that times don't matter. It's all about racing on hills, through mud, and in conditions that make competition more important than your finishing time!

Why are we putting on a cross country race? The majority of the cross country races in town are put on for kids and high school athletes. There are many people in St. Louis who would love the opportunity to compete in this unique style of racing. This is your chance to try out cross country.

Where do the proceeds go? All proceeds from this race will go to Spewak Racing a 501c3 nonprofit. Spewak Racing is a membership-based team, inclusive of athletes of all abilities, which provides opportunities to race and train together through our community and team events. Our staff and coaches are devoted to bringing enthusiasm, structure, and accountability to our team. We partner closely with organizations in our community allowing athletes to use their platform in Spewak Racing to foster health and wellness throughout our community at large.
